About Us

Our collection consists of genuine teak, one the most beautiful and durable hardwoods. Teak performs wonderfully in any climate. The high oil and rubber content of teak make it virtually immune to warp and rot.

Indoor - Many of our indoor pieces are made from reclaimed teak timbers, some of which are 100 years old. We refurbish the old teak at our factories in Bali and import it for sale in the form of country dining tables, armoires, coffee tables, sideboards, and old doors to name just a few examples. The resulting range of Old World elegance and warmth combines with rustic and primitive styles for a unique furnishing experience. Furthermore, the reuse of old teak plays an environmentally sound role in the production of beautiful, lasting furniture.
Maintainance - We highly recommend waxing indoor teak monthly. We recommend the use of Fiddes wax. After applying the wax, let it sit for several hours before buffing it off. At our factories in Bali, we heat the wax, applying it with a paintbrush, let it sit overnight, and then power puff it. This results in magically richer wood. But don't overdo it. Monthly care is sufficient.

Outdoor - During the height of the British Empire teak was the first choice for the construction of sailing vessels due to its outstanding weatherproofing qualities. Many yachts are made of teak to this day. Teak's resistance to weather is ideal for our outdoor patio collection. This wood requires very little maintainance. Teak requires neither paint nor preservatives. Natural teak provides an array of colors and patterns. When teak items are left outdoors untreated, the sun and rain will eventually softened the wood's color to a warm, silvery grey. The furniture will remain smooth and never warp or rot. Teak furniture lasts for decades.
Maintainance - To maintain the initial newer and cleaner look of outdoor teak furniture, maintainence should take place every other month, especially if the furniture is in full sunlight for most of the day. A quick wash with warm, soapy water wil remove any moss and developing stains. After the teak has dried, simply spray on teka oil, let it set for approximately 30 minutes, and then wipe it down. We recommend McCloskey's teak oil.
